Lake Safety
The second leading cause of death in children is drowning. This sobering statistic is reversible. While you might think that children drowning is directly caused by a lack of supervision, a whopping 19% of drownings happen at public pools or beaches where there is a lifeguard on duty!
When it comes to the safety of your children near water, it’s untimely up to YOU. Preparing and teaching your children water safety can go a long way, but in the end someone must be watching each child 100% percent of the time. The average number of minutes between when a child was last seen before drowning is just 5 minutes. Watching children constantly is imperative.
