Everyone has heard the old wives tale about a chemical, that when added to the swimming pool will turn red, green, or blue when it detects urine in the water.  This is, of course, completely untrue.  A study from Mason-Dixon reveals, however, that 52% of those surveyed believe that this urban myth is actually true.  This article from Healthy Pools exposes some of these potentially dangerous swimming pool myths.  Swimming pools are not as clean as some of these myths would lead you to believe, the article explains, which is what makes these rumors and myths so potentially dangerous.
